Watch Apsara Awards 2011 Live on Colors Tv 23rd January 2011, ApsaraAwards to be the First Award Ceremony of 2011: The Film & Television Producers Guild of India recently announced the 6th Apsara Film & Television Producers GuildAwards to be held in the first week of January 2011. In conjunction with Viacom18′s Hindi General Entertainment Channel COLORS and Wizcraft International, the producers and conceptualizers of the Awards, Apsara will bring together the top talent from the world of films and television onto a single platform recognising their combined effort and significant impact on the entertainment industry for the year 2010.



The exclusive awards function will host many of the crème de la crème from the Television and Film Industry, who will come to celebrate, support and pay tribute to the accomplishments of their peers.

Salman Khan elbowed out Shah Rukh Khan in the Chevrolet Apsara Awards 2011 Film & Television Producers Guild Awards. The award went to the biggest hit of the year 2010 Dabangg. Shah Rukh and Salman were received 13 and 10 nominations respectively. Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti and Ajay Devgn’s Once Upon a Time In Mumbai were also nominated in various categories in Apsara Awards 2011.

Karan Johar received the award for the best director for the movie My Name is Khan. Shah Rukh Khan was the hero of the movie. Vidya Balan received award for her performance in Ishqiya. Ishqiya was nominated for the best film and best actress categories as well as best music category. Anushka Sharma got an award for her performance in Band Baaja Baraat.

Best performance in negative role (Sonu Sood),

Best female debut (Sonakshi Sinha),

Best music (Sajid-Wajid)

Best dialogues (Abhinav Kashyap)

Best male singer (Rahat Fateh Ali Khan).

‘Band Baaja Baraat’ won 6 Awards.

Best editing (namrata rao),

Best art director (t.p abid and sonal choudhry),

Best costume design (niharika khan),

Best actress (anushka sharma),

Best debut director (maneesh sharma)

Best male debut (ranveer singh).
