Jewelry fanatics, celebrity memorabilia collectors and Lindsay Lohan fans alike may all be pleased by a new twist in her felony theft case.

The necklace the 24-year-old starlet is accused of stealing will be sold to the highest bidder after the case concludes "by plea bargain, or trial or some other means," a rep for the store Kamofie and Co. told TMZ.com.

The spokesperson said they "have decided to sell the diamond necklace through auction, and give the proceeds to charity."

"We invite the public to make suggestions as to the most appropriate charity to receive the benefit of the sale's proceeds," the rep added.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office currently has possession of the jewelry because it is a key piece of evidence in the ongoing case.
